Sown to Grow helps empower students to set goals, reflect on strategies, and learn how to learn. The goal of the site is to help students take a more active role in their learning and develop a growth mindset. Teachers designate a learning cycle for each student including learning objectives, assignments and grading scales. The students rotate through four steps during a learning cycle: Check In, Set Goals, Work Hard, and Reflect. Although the site monitors student progress and guides them through this process, teachers also have full access to the data and ability to review, edit, and add additional grades at any time.
